Transfer Requests

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

The January 8, 2009, Memorandum of Agreement on the transition stated the following:

All permanent transfer requests as provided for by the applicable Collective Agreement that would result in the transfer of the employee performing work for Air Canada to performing work for Aveos, or the reverse, whether filed prior to or subsequent to the CIRB date, shall be cancelled and superseded by the transition process in this Memorandum of Agreement.

Accordingly, if you have submitted a transfer request before or after the CIRB date, that is, January 31, 2011, please note that your request has been cancelled.
You must therefore resubmit your request using the Aveos transfer request form.

Using the appropriate form is important. Some of our members working for Aveos discovered recently that their request was not valid because the form they submitted was the form for transfers within Air Canada.
