IAMAW Air Canada TMOS Airports & Cargo Operations Shop
Committee Chairperson (1) and Air Canada Tech-Ops, Logistics and
Supply Shop Committee Chairperson (1)

Please note that Local Lodge 2323 has been given special dispensation by Grand Lodge to hold Nominations and Elections for an extended term of office for the Shop Committee Chairperson positions.

Term of Office will be from April, 2017 to December 31, 2020.

Nominations will be accepted at the February 02, 2017 with Election on April 05, 2017.

Members in attendance will be able to accept nomination. Nominees not in attendance must submit a written
acceptance to the Recording Secretary of the Local Lodge prior to the Membership meeting.
A candidate must have been a member of an affiliated Lodge for at least six (6) months prior to nominations. They
must have attended 50% of the regular Monthly Membership meetings held by the Lodge that their Union activities,
shift assignments, vacations and verified illnesses would allow during the previous twelve month period ending the
date of close of nominations.

Absentee Ballots as per Local Lodge Bylaws (Article IV)
Members who reside in outlying districts more than 25 miles/40km (d riving distance) from the designated balloting
place, members who are either confined because of verified illness or vacation or on official lAM business, approved
by the Local Lodge, District Lodge or Grand Lodge, or on an employer travel assignment, as the case maybe, may
request an Absentee Ballot form.
Any member entitled to receive an Absentee Ballot may complete in full the 2323 Absentee Request form available
from the 2323 website (www.iamaw2323.ca) and also available in the Shop Committee Offices. The member must
forward it to the Recording Secretary via Canada Post or by handing it in, in person, to the Recording Secretary.
Absentee Ballot requests must be sent in individual envelopes. Absentee Ballot request must be received by March,
06, 2017 at the latest via Canada Post or in person to Recording Secretary.
Please don’t forget to complete the form in full including a valid union card number and your signature. If you
don’t have your union card number you can get it by calling the Local Lodge office at 905-678-0010.

At the polling station on April 04, 2017, a valid union card or a government issued picture identification must be
presented or a ballot will not be issued.

Place: Local Lodge 2323 – Meeting Hall- 2580 Drew Road, Mississauga

Date of Election: April 04, 2017
Time: 0630 – 2100 hours
Place: Local Lodge 2323 – Meeting Hall – 2580 Drew Road, Mississauga
