Sisters, Brothers, and Siblings,
As bargaining continues, we are now entering the stage where we need to begin preparations in the event strike action becomes necessary.
While our focus remains on reaching a fair agreement at the table, being organized and prepared is critical. We are now looking for volunteers across the country to assist with the following roles as we coordinate efforts with the Local Lodges system wide.
Strike Captains
Help organize and run picket lines, coordinate members, and keep communication flowing on the line.
Community Services Committees
Assist members and families with community support resources and social assistance programs if needed.
Kitchen Committees
Help coordinate food, coffee, water, and refreshments for members on picket duty.
Members interested in volunteering are encouraged to contact their Local executive board to apply. The deadline to apply for the above roles will be June 10, 2026. Training will be held virtually on June 25, 2026.
Preparation and solidarity matter. A strong, organized membership sends a clear message.
