Re: Gail Lis-Lefebvre Retirement

Dear Friends and Members,

It is with mixed feelings that I write you to advise of my impending retirement from the position of
Administrative Assistant of Local Lodge 2323, a position I have held for over 20 years. Paul and
I have decided it is time to relax and enjoy some free time with friends and family, especially the
grandchildren.

In most cases if you called the Office on Drew Road, I would be the person answering your call.
In this role I have met and worked with some wonderful people, many whom I now think of as
friends.

One of my more rewarding duties during this time was that of Group Disability Advocate. In fact,
I had the pleasure of meeting some of you through this process and am happy for the
successes that we enjoyed together.

I would like to thank the Local Lodge Executive Board, Shop Committee’s, Stewards, and all
Committee members for their assistance and support over the years. You all made me feel like I
was a part of the team.

It is also nice to be able to go to work and be appreciated and respected . In that regard, I can
not say enough good things about my 2 bosses and co-workers. Both President Dave Flowers
and Secretary-Treasurer John Smiley have provided me with guidance and support, as well as
a friendly work atmosphere. When Dave is away, VP Paul Hicks has fulfilled the role of Acting
President. Again, I must say it was also a pleasure to work with Paul.

In addition, I’d like to thank the Staff and Officers of District Lodge 140 for their friendship and
support. Many times, when advocating for a member with a denied Disability Claim, I had to
communicate with your General Chairpersons to seek their assistance.

I suppose my position provided me with the vantage point of speaking with and meeting with
many individual members and seeing their challenges met. As I move on to the next chapter of
my life, I will be forever grateful for the wonderful opportunity that I had in working at Local
Lodge 2323. I hope we will again see each other at various opportunities and functions in future.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Gail Lis-Lefebvre
