NOTICE TO ALL IAMAW LL2323 MEMBERS
Dispensation- Meeting Eligibility Requirements
Due to current Covid-19 policies across Canada, the Office of the
International President of the IAMAW has agreed that it is not fair to
the membership to impose meeting attendance requirements to run
for office. This dispensation is granted to all IAM districts and locals
under the jurisdiction of the Canadian Territory to waive any meeting
requirements that may be in place for members to qualify to run or
hold office. Any member wishing to run for office must still meet all
other qualifications as outlined in both the IAM constitution and
district/local bylaws, such as being in good standing, but the meeting
attendance will not apply. This dispensation will be effective
immediately through the close of business December 31, 2021.
