NOTICE TO ALL LL2323 MEMBERS (Revision)

If your employment status has been impacted by the new mandatory vaccination
policy, please reach out to the Shop Committee that looks after your work group
for further guidance and action, up to and including a personal grievance.

Tech Ops, Logistics and Supply Shop Committee: 905 676-2243

Airports and Cargo Shop Committee: 905 676-2484

From the onset, the union has opposed using threats of non-voluntary leaves of
absence (LOA’s) or employment issues to increase vaccination numbers. IAMAW
District 140 has filed national challenges through the grievance process, both on
the collective agreement (CBA) and labour code violations. Legal advice was
sought on a cease and desist but the union was unable to obtain one. Multiple
legal firms are assisting the IAMAW with these challenges. Once a national
arbitration date is set the Union can challenge the mandatory vaccination policy
in front of an arbitrator. The Union remains committed to helping our members
and should an arbitrator agree the policy is unreasonable or has errors in law,
then our Union will seek every Member affected be made whole and returned to
work.

As more information becomes available, it will be passed on to the membership.

In solidarity,

Paul Hicks
President
