The Canadian Labour Congress and its 3.2 million members stand in solidarity with striking CAW and CUPW workers at Air Canada and at Canada Post in their fight to preserve wages and pensions not only for themselves, but for the generation of workers who will come after them in their workplaces.
We should all be worried about the ability of our children to retire in dignity after a lifetime of work. We salute the workers at Air Canada and Canada Post for their courage to stand up for future generations.
How you can help:
Until the strikes are settled, the CLC encourages everyone to support CAW and CUPW members by not flying Air Canada or using Canada Post services, as their unions have requested. We urge all workers to contact Canada Post and Air Canada and encourage them to drop their concession demands. Tell them to negotiate real solutions with their workers.
