AIR CANADA’S LAUNCH OF LANDLINE BUS CONNECTING PASSENGERS TO THE YYZ AIRPORT MAY 3, 2024
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We would like to inform you about the recent launch of a bus service (landline) by Air Canada, connecting passengers from local airports to the main airport hub in YYZ. While we welcome any expansion of business operations by the Company, your Union believes that there are violations of our workforce’s rights, specifically as it pertains to the handling of baggage.
Your Union has raised concerns about the exclusion of members of our bargaining unit from this venture. As a result, we have filed a grievance and are currently in discussions with the corporation to address this matter and seek a resolution. We understand the importance of fair and inclusive practices within our organization and the protection of our work. We are committed to advocating for the rights and interests of our members.
