TO ALL IAM AIR CANADA MEMBERSHIP URGENT:

ACTION REQUIRED EVACANCY TOOL APPLICATIONS FOR TRANSFERS, DEMOTIONS AND PROMOTIONS

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We would like to remind you that if you have submitted an application on the Air Canada employee portal (Aeronet) through the “eVacancy” tool for transfers, demotions, or promotions, these requests will remain on your profile for one (1) year from the date of submission. Members will be considered for all postings that they have applied for during this time period.

Once the posting closes, and the company has made a selection, there is no opportunity to revoke the
transfer, demotion, or promotion if you have been correctly selected. Therefore, we urge you to ensure that you are applying only if you are absolutely certain that you are interested in the position you have requested.

Due to the escalating number of requests being made by members after the fact, the company has advised that they will not consider requests for cancellation after a selection has been made, especially when absent of extenuating circumstances. It is the responsibility of the member to submit or withdraw their application prior to the closing date of the vacancy.

For this reason, we request all members to access the “LOU Exam Request/eVacancy” tool through the
employee webpage and cancel all requests that they are not interested in immediately. This will ensure
that you are only being considered for opportunities that you are genuinely interested in and help avoid issues during the selection process.

Information regarding the selection process can be found in Article 16 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to your Union representatives should you have any questions.
