HUGE ARBITRATION WIN FOR TERMINATED MEMBER!

Dear Brothers & Sisters,
I am happy to share some big news with the membership. An important grievance has resulted in a major win for our Union and the member involved.
After more than two years of fighting for justice with 4 full Arbitration dates spread over the span of over a year, the Arbitrator has ruled in our favour and ordered that the member be made whole, including full back pay for the time they’ve been off the job. What makes this victory even more significant is that it came out of a full evidentiary arbitration, not our usual expedited process. This sets a precedent for future grievances and shows the strength of our casework when challenged under full scrutiny.
The Arbitrator also ruled that the member will be compensated in lieu of reinstatement, meaning they won’t be returning to their position at Air Canada, but will instead receive financial compensation to reflect the career they lost. This is a powerful result that reflects the seriousness of the wrongful termination and the strength of our representation.
