AIR CANADA TMOS
PREPARATIONS FOR THE UPCOMING
ROUND OF BARGAINING
Brothers, Sisters and Siblings,
This bulletin updates our position on CIRB file #038296-C and their decision to split the Air Canada bargaining unit. After careful review, we determined an appeal is appropriate, given the CIRB’s longstanding preference for larger units that include diverse trades and skills. This decision affects the entire labour movement.
We are preparing our appeal, due December 4, 2025, with results expected by January 2026. Following this, we plan to appeal to the Federal Court of Appeal.
Our appeals should not impact on collective bargaining with Air Canada. Additionally, once we serve our notice to bargain, Air Canada has a legal obligation to engage in bargaining.
We are stronger together, speaking with one voice; and together, in 2026, we will achieve an industry-leading collective bargaining agreement.
In solidarity,
Dave Flowers
