ATT: All Cabins Members
January 29 2026
In light of the recent severe winter weather we want to remind members to prioritize safety while at work.
- Members are encouraged to exercise extra caution during winter conditions, particularly with respect to slips, trips, and falls. Slippery surfaces, icy walkways, snow-covered areas, and high winds can create hazardous working conditions. Members should take all reasonable steps to work safely, use appropriate footwear and equipment, and remain aware of their surroundings at all times. As a reminder, ice cleats are available in the Radio Room to be used during inclement weather or icy condition (do not use on aircraft)
- Communication has also been ongoing with Corporate Real Estate regarding parking lot conditions, with particular attention to safety concerns while transiting through parking lots during severe winter weather. The Company is presently undertaking the task of moving excess snow accumulated from parking lots via transport trucks, off site. Please be mindful around these trucks and ensure you have visibility with the driver when passing them.
- With respect to severe winter weather policies, including attendance considerations and the use of hotels, discussions are currently taking place with management. The goal of these discussions is to improve clarity and ensure more timely and consistent
communication during severe weather events. We are hopeful that these efforts will result in better guidance for members when winter weather conditions significantly impact commuting and reporting to work.
Further updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
Thank you for your continued professionalism and commitment to safety during challenging conditions.
