AIR CANADA
CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE
Dear Brothers, Sisters, and Siblings,
As you know, the IAM has been engaged in ongoing negotiations with Air Canada, which began on February 25, 2026. These negotiations pertain to a renewal of our Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), that expires on March 31, 2026. This bulletin summarizes the information contained in our video updates of March 10, March 20 and March 23, 2026.
Your Committee met with Air Canada during the weeks of March 9 and March 16, 2026, and have further dates booked for the weeks of March 30, April 13 and April 27, 2026.
During the first two weeks of bargaining, your union made proposals around the following articles:
- Article 8
- Article 10
- Article 13
- Article 16
- Article 17
- Article 20
- LOU and MOA’s
We are happy to share that we have reached some tentative agreements, relating to these articles. These tentative agreements will be shared as part of the final ratification package when completed. We are not in a position to share them currently, as the process is ongoing and changes may occure.
