CUPE 966 Needs Our Members’ Support Tomorrow!

Attention all members

For over 7 weeks, around 800 workers from CUPE 966 in the Region of Peel have been on strike.

Regional management have made it clear that their agenda is to smash the Local as all other groups (including management) are receiving pay increases without any concessions.

CUPE 966 and their bus have always been the first non-airline union to be at YYZ for all of our struggles, no matter the union or the reason.

That is true solidarity and friendship.

Now it’s our turn!

We are asking all members from all unions to please mobilize for a show of solidarity for CUPE 966.

When: Wednesday, June 27, 2012

Where: Region of Peel Headquarters at 10 Peel Centre Drive (just north of the Bramalea City Centre)

Time: 1030

Bus Pick Up Times (for those needing a lift):

Kipling Subway Station: 0930

Viscount Train Station: 1000

The bus will return at the latest:

Viscount Train Station: 1400

Kipling Subway Station: 1430

After our events at the Region’s Headquarters we will be boarding the bus for a picnic with a special surprise for desert!

These workers need our support and solidarity. Please make every effort to attend this fun event.

Solidarity YYZ!
