IAMAW Local 2323 has been the steadfast voice for aviation workers in Ontario since its inception in 1968. Representing employees from Air Canada across Toronto, Ottawa, Trenton, and London, as well as those from TBH at Pearson Airport, our union has grown to include over 5,000 active members and approximately 1,500 retirees.
Our foundation is built on a strong democratic approach, a hallmark of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (I.A.M.A.W.). We believe in the power of collective decision-making and encourage all members to actively participate in union meetings, held on the first Tuesday of every month.

Laila Hakimi has been the chief shop steward at TBH for over ten years
and an employee at TBH for over twenty years. Laila is recognized as a
caring and responsive union representative, as she always goes above and
beyond the call of duty to serve our membership.
Her knowledge and experience offers an honest and effective
representation in all matters with the Employer. She is a dedicated and
trusted advocate for her members, working diligently to ensure that
rights are enforced and respected. We are delighted to have Laila as
part our team.
