Nominations & Elections for this position are as follows:
Date of Nomination: January 9, 2013 at 2580 Drew Rd. Mississauga at 19:00 hrs.
Date of Election: February 5, 2013 at 2580 Drew Rd. Mississauga, Ontario Polling Hours … 06:30 – 21:00 hrs.
Eligibility: Members in attendance may accept nomination. Nominees not in attendance will be required to submit their acceptance in writing to the Recording Secretary (via fax, mail or in person but not e-mail) to be read out at the nomination meeting.
Members accepting nominations must have attended at least 50% of the Regular Local Lodge Meetings held during the 12 month period ending the date of the close of nominations that their scheduled shifts, employee assignments, vacations, verified illness, Local/District/Grand Lodge business shall allow.
Absentee Ballots: Members who reside in outlying districts more than 25 miles /40km from the Local Lodge (as determined by Google Maps, MapQuest or the like, members who are either confined because of verified illness or on vacation or on official IAM business, approved by the Local Lodge, District Lodge or Grand Lodge, or on an employer travel assignment, as the case may be, may request an absentee ballot request form.
Any member entitled to receive an absentee ballot shall make a written request (form on 2323 website) to the Recording Secretary of the Local Lodge by delivering in person or mailing such request not later than 30 days before the election.
At the polling station, a valid union card must be presented or a ballot will not be issued.
