NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
The Union and the company have met on several occasions for the purpose of negotiating a new Collective Agreement.
We have discussed several items and have also agreed with some.
The one glaring disagreement between the Union and company is, a real wage increase.
The company is offering no wage increase for long serving TBH employees.
This is simply unacceptable for the Union and YOU, the membership.
Because of this impasse, the Union has requested the help of the Federal Government for a Conciliation Officer to supervise and help with this most important issue.
Once an Officer is appointed, we will again meet and try to resolve our differences.
The current Collective Agreement has an expiry date of October 31,2013 but will stay in force until a new agreement is negotiated and accepted.
The Negotiating Committee would like to thank you for your patience and will keep you informed as we continue to fight for better wages.
