2015 BARGAINING UPDATE #2

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Your IAMAW District 140 elected Negotiations Team is meeting for the third week in Toronto to achieve positive changes to the current Collective Agreement. These discussions are scheduled to continue until Friday, October 16, 2015.

The Negotiations Committee has addressed the Survey items with the Company and discussions are ongoing. Your Union is working hard on your behalf to protect jobs, improve wages and working conditions.

All Members that provided their email addresses and phone numbers in the Bargaining Survey will receive updates through those mediums. For the remainder of the Membership we will continue to keep you informed as the process evolves and provide timely updates via Bulletins in the workplace and on both District and Local Lodge websites.

During the Collective Bargaining individuals, both Unionized and non-Unionized, may attempt to take advantage and spread rumours in the workplace to harm the process or serve a personal agenda creating division amongst the Membership and undermining our success at the Bargaining table.

Should we be successful in obtaining a Tentative Agreement the package will be sent to you for a Ratification Vote. It is only after Ratification that the Collective Agreement will be amended.

Your continued support and patience is appreciated during this process.

Together, standing strong as one Union and speaking with one loud voice, we can improve our standard of living.

In Solidarity,

Your Negotiations Team
