BARGAINING UPDATE #1

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Your 2019 bargaining committee is currently attending a pre-negotiations training program at the
William W. Winpisinger Center. We are doing this to best represent the membership in the
upcoming negotiations.

A core requirement of negotiations “prep” is to develop “Internal Ground Rules” to assist the
committee to best address the concerns of the wider membership. After lengthy debate, the majority
of the committee agreed to a bargaining process that allows both the Maintenance and Customer
Service business units to bargain and address issues separately with their own voice within a larger
framework of support and the language of Appendix XXXXIV.

Unfortunately, three (3) members of the TMOS bargaining committee were unable to accept or agree to
the “Internal Ground Rules” and resigned their positions as members of the bargaining committee.

The remaining nine (9) members are united in their approach and determined to continue representing
your collective agreement issues. We are now looking for replacements from the respective Local
Lodges in order to have your voice in this important process.

In solidarity,

Paul Hicks -2323                                 Trevor Drennan -1751

Gary Doherty -2323                             Dave Griffitts -1751

Shawn Archer -764                              Andrew MacFarlane -1763

Prescott Franko -1681                         Kevin Cantin -714

Jim Burden -1681                                 Paul Lefebvre -DL 140
