SHIFT TRADES
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Your Union met on October 28, 2014 with Senior Labour Relations Management to go over some issues to resolve.
One of the main issues for discussion was the “large imbalance in shift trades owed versus shift trades owing” some people have.
As the company implements their new Employee Self Service (ESS) component of their new Timekeeping System across the country, shift trades will be programmed into the system in order to keep a better control on the imbalances.
On a going forward basis for one quarter of the year, you will be limited to plus or minus five hundred and twenty (520) hours of shift trades before being locked out of the system for any more shift trades.
As you are all aware, shift trades are not a Collective Agreement item and as such the company has the right to change them as they see fit.
In solidarity,
Gary Sinclair
