PART OF THE TMOS BARGAINING UNIT, AIR CANADA
MEETING WITH THE CONCILIATION COMMISSIONER
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
On December 21, 2011, the Honourable Ms. Justice Louise Otis was appointed as Conciliation Commissioner to deal with the current IAMAW/Air Canada TMOS bargaining process.
Grand Lodge Representative Carlos DaCosta, President and District 140 Directing General Chairperson Chuck Atkinson, General Chairperson / Negotiations Chairperson Mike Ambler and the undersigned were requested by the Conciliation Commissioner to meet with her on January 3, 2012, in Montreal.
The meeting was to enlighten Ms. Justice Otis on what had transpired to date in the bargaining process, from the Union’s perspective. We explained what we had completed in our agenda and what we comprehend as being unresolved.
We also informed her that our expectation was to meet with Air Canada from January 9 to 13, January 16 to 20 and January 30 to February 3, 2012.
The commissioner was meeting with Air Canada today. We will continue to update you as we progress.
