IMPORTANT MESSAGE

NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS AND FORMER MEMBERS OF THE

WHO OPTED TO RETIRE/RESIGN
FROM AIR CANADA AND REHIRE BY AVEOS

RE: DISTRIBUTION OF EXCESS FUNDS UNDER
CIRB ORDER 9996-U AND THE
SEPTEMBER 12, 2012 ARBITRATION DECISION

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Further to Bulletin No. 35 issued June 18, 2015, and No. 72 issued on November 26, 2015, please be
advised that the IAMAW Transportation District 140 intends to distribute the excess funds in April of
2016, under CIRB Order 9996-U and the September 12, 2012 arbitration decision.

The distribution will be to those Members who were employed at Air Canada on January 31, 2011,
who opted to retire or resign from Air Canada as part of the Aveos transition process, and who were
still working at Aveos at the time of its closure, since they have not received any compensation for
their losses resulting from transitioning to Aveos in the context of its insolvency and closure.

Currently, Transportation District 140 is in the process of finalizing this distribution in consultation with
our legal counsel.

In Solidarity,

Fred Hospes, President & Directing General Chairperson
Transportation District 140, IAMAW
