IAMAW Members Working At Air Canada Toronto and Ottawa
Notice of Nominations and Elections
Negotiations Representatives
Nominations will be held for five (5) Negotiations Representatives. They will be taking part in the upcoming 2019
Collective Agreement negotiations between the IAMAW and Air Canada.
• 2 Representatives will be elected by the Airports and Cargo Operation
• 2 Representatives will be elected by the Technical Services and/or Logistics and Supply Branch
• 1 Representative Will be elected by the Clerical Branch
Eligibility:
Members in attendance may accept nomination. Nominees not in attendance will be required to submit their
acceptance in writing to the Recording Secretary (via fa, mail or in person not by email) to be read out at the
nomination meeting. Members accepting nomination must have at least 50% of the Regular Local Lodge Meetings
held during the 12 month period ending the date of the close of nominations that their scheduled shifts, employee
assignments, vacations, verified illness, Local/District/Grand Lodge business shall allow.
Absentee Ballots as per Local Lodge Bylaws (Article IV)
Members who reside in outlying districts more than 25 miles/40km (driving distance) from the designated balloting
place, members who are either confined because of verified illness or vacation or on official IAM business, approved
by the Local Lodge, District Lodge or Grand Lodge, or on an employer travel assignment, as the case maybe, may
request an Absentee Ballot form.
Any member entitled to receive an Absentee Ballot may complete in full the 2323 Absentee Request Form available
from the Local Lodge 2323 website (www.iamaw2323.ca) and also available in the Shop Committee Offices. The
member must forward it to the Recording Secretary via Canada Post or by handing it in, in person, to the Recording
Secretary. Absentee Ballot requests must be sent in individual envelopes. Absentee Ballot request must be received
by August 10, 2018 at the latest via Canada Post or in person to Recording Secretary.
Please don’t forget to complete the form in full including a valid union card number and your signature. If you
don’t have your union card number you can get it by calling the Local Lodge office at 905-678-0010. At the polling
station on September 11, 2018, a valid union card or a government issued picture identification must be presented or a
ballot will not be issued.
