IAWAW Local Lodge 2323 Young Machinists
This past August we began working within our local to set up a Young Machinists group.
We have had four very productive meetings that have resulted in a survey that will soon be circulating to the membership to fill out.
The ideas behind the survey are; to collect some basic information from our members, to find out what the pulse of our membership is at the moment, to create awareness on some of the topics covered in the survey, and also to start a discussion about union issues within the membership.
I want you to know that there will be no place on these surveys to put your name. By keeping the survey anonymous we hope that each of you will fill it out honestly, and will let us know how you really feel.
The type of topics covered on the survey will be communication, union activities, youth issues, and community service.
The Young Machinists group is about bringing together our young and new members with our more experienced members to offer them support.
Empowering our youth to become active in the union, will prepare us for the future.
The deadline to return all the completed surveys will be January 5, 2015.
