Join Forces to Feed the Less Fortunate and Support the Pride Parade
On June 26th the Community Service committee and the Young Machinist Committee joined together in solidarity to bring much needed food to some of the vulnerable homeless in the streets of Toronto, together we delivered 38 meals which as always was well received and appreciated.
At the Toronto Pride Parade we handed out organizing material and spoke to parade goers about the advantages of being in a union and how they could go about bringing the IAM to their workplaces. It was a great day to meet people in the community and share stories and experiences of being in the IAM. This was a great opportunity for the IAM as an inclusive organization to show support for their brothers and sisters in all communities.
We would like to thank all those who supported the Pride Month Fundraiser and we look forward to seeing everyone come out next year.
In Solidarity,
The Community Service Committee and the Young Machinists Committee
