NOTICE

Filing Grievances and Appealing Discipline Letters
YYZ Airports, Cargo, CEQ, Clerical and Ops Centre

In February of 2016, the IAMAW and Air Canada implemented a joint online
Grievance System, This process allows your Shop Committee and General
Chairpersons to have eyes on member Grievances and Appeals from beginning
through resolution.

To file a Grievance, or to appeal a Discipline Letter, you must visit/contact your
Shop Committee Office. They will need to know the nature of your concerns or
discipline matter, so they can log in and “electronically” initiate whatever
action is required.

At this point, you will be required to complete a General Chairpersons /
Shop Committee Information Sheet
. By doing so, you provide your
Union with the contact information necessary to be able communicate with
you every step of the way.

You will then be required to supply your Union with a written statement
regarding your Grievance/Discipline within 2 weeks. It is imperative that
you supply this information, as it is the premise of your case at appeal.
Should you choose not to provide the required information, it may have
an adverse effect on the outcome of your grievance.

Note: Your personal information gathered in this format is for the sole
purpose of communicating with you and is not shared with the
Company.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation by helping us to help you.

In Solidarity,

Paul Lefebvre
General Chairperson
