NOTICE OF NOMINATION & ELECTION
Shop Committee Members
Airport & Cargo Operations (1)
Term of Office January 01, 2013 to December 31, 2015
Nominations will be received at the next Local Lodge Membership meeting for the above position.
ELIGIBILITY
Members In attendance will be able to accept nomination. Nominees not in attendance must submit a written acceptance to the Recording Secretary of the Local Lodge prior to the Membership meeting.
A candidate must have been a member of an affiliated Lodge for at least six (6) months prior to nominations. They must have attended 50% of the regular Monthly Membership meetings held by the Lodge that their Union activities, shift assignments, vacations and verified illnesses would allow during the previous twelve (12) month period ending the date of close of nominations.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS as per Local Lodge Bylaws (Article IV)
Members who reside in outlying districts more than 25 miles/40km (driving distance) from the designated balloting place, members who are either confined because of verified illness or vacation or on official lAM business, approved by the Local Lodge, District Lodge or Grand Lodge, or on an employer travel assignment, as the case maybe, may request an absentee ballot request form ..
Any member entitled to receive an absentee ballot shall make a written request therefore to the Recording Secretary of the Local Lodge by delivering in person or mailing such request not later than 30 days before the election. Check Google Maps (maps.google.ca) and advise us that you now qualify under the new bylaw.
