IAMAW Air Canada TMOS
Airports and Cargo Shop Committee in Toronto
One (1) Shop Committee Member
Term of Office is March 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021.
Nominations will be accepted at the January 7, 2020 Meeting with Election on February 4, 2020.
Special Dispensation has been granted in order to expedite the process in order to backfill the
prematurely evacuated spot in the Shop Committee.
Eligibility
Members in attendance will be able to accept nomination. Nominees not in attendance must submit a
written acceptance to the Recording Secretary of the Local Lodge prior to the Membership meeting.
A candidate must have been a member of an affiliated Lodge for at least six (6) months prior to
nominations.
Absentee Ballots as per Local Lodge Bylaws (Article IV)
Members who reside in outlying districts more than 25 miles/40km (driving distance) from the
designated balloting place, members who are either confined because of verified illness or vacation or
on official lAM business, approved by the Local Lodge, District Lodge or Grand Lodge, or on an employer
travel assignment, as the case maybe, may request an absentee ballot form.
Any member entitled to receive an absentee ballot shall make a written request therefore to the
Recording Secretary of the Local Lodge by delivering in person or mailing such a request not later than
30 days before the election. Check Google Maps (maps.google.ca).
