TO ALL IAMAW MEMBERS -AIR CANADA – NATIONAL GRIEVANCES -District 140 Bulletin

TO ALL IAMAW MEMBERS
AIR CANADA – NATIONAL GRIEVANCES

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Your General Chairpersons representing Members at Air Canada are addressing the
National Grievances. Last month, DL140 was successful in securing additional
arbitration dates for 2020 and 2021. Two (2) dates have been added this month,
December 10th and December 21st.

The District has endeavoured to prioritize the order of grievances to bring needed and
overdue justice to the Membership while ensuring our best chances for success. Some
of the National issues will be heard this year and some will be heard in early 2021.

On December 10th, your General Chairpersons arrived well prepared to argue the
merits of the cases. Air Canada did not. After lengthy mediation discussions Arbitrator
Christine Schmidt has directed the employer and their counsel to have any
submissions completed by December 16th to ensure maximum productivity on
December 21st.

Air Canada remains determined to use every trick in their playbook to delay the
hearing of these important grievances and ultimately delay justice, but we are making
progress. They can run but they can’t hide.

As always and more than ever thank you for your continued patience and support.

In solidarity,

Steve Prinz
