TO ALL IAMAW MEMBERS
AIR CANADA – TMOS
DPLP, BUMPING AND RECALL
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
The General Chairpersons representing members at Air Canada have been working very hard to
secure information regarding the DPLP, bumping and recall processes.
To say that the situation is fluid would be a gross understatement. Things are changing rapidly and
the Company has been unable to provide hard dates for the onset and conclusions of these
procedures.
The DPLP is currently underway in Tech-Ops. The Regional Shop Committees have compiled their
lists and are in the process of presenting to the Company. Members from Tech-Ops are encouraged
to reach out to their Shop Committees for updates regarding DPLP.
The CEWS extension in Airports/Cargo ended August 29th. Air Canada Labour Relations has been
issuing permanent and term recalls. We are advised that the Company expects to complete that
exercise within the next week or two. Once that is done, the Airports/Cargo Shop Committees will be
in a position to start the DPLP process.
If you feel that your seniority has been violated, please be sure to notify your Shop Committee
representative(s) or your General Chairperson. Many grievances have been filed and we are working
through them, but please understand that the grievance procedure takes time.
Your patience is greatly appreciated.
Stay Safe,
Steve Prinz
