TO ALL IAMAW MEMBERS AIR CANADA – TMOS NEGOTIATION UPDATE
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Your 2022 Negotiations Committee recently reconvened with the Company for two (2) weeks of bargaining. The week of June 20th in Vancouver and the week of June 27th in Toronto.
These early stages of bargaining have mainly focused on detailed discussion, but some progress has been made. There is a myriad of issues to be addressed, as identified by the Membership in the Bargaining Survey.
Though constrained by the framework of Appendix XXXXIV, your Bargaining Committee remains optimistic that meaningful gains can be achieved. Air Canada has expressed an aspiration to address Member concerns via a ratified agreement.
Busy summer flight schedules, planned vacations and other factors make confirming any further negotiations dates challenging for the moment. We are anxious to continue the process and will schedule more meetings with the Company as soon as conditions allow.
As always, we thank you for your patience, your trust and your support through this process.
In solidarity,
Steve Prinz
