TO ALL IAMAW MEMBERS
AIR CANADA – TMOS
NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

On September 29, 2020, your Union’s legal counsel requested Arbitrator Vince Ready to re-engage in
the Collective Agreement Negotiations process as outlined in Appendix XXXXIV of the Collective
Agreement.

A case management call was held in March 2020 to discuss process and preliminary arguments. Due
to the COVID-19 pandemic, the submission deadline paused. As we now understand the COVID-19
situation, we are in a position to complete the Collective Agreement opener as prescribed in the
appendix.

Your Collective Bargaining Committee understands the importance to our membership to resolve the
Defined Benefit Pension Cap and is seeking a resolution through this process.

In addition to the Defined Benefit Pension Cap, your Bargaining Committee has been working with
the IAMAW legal counsel to prepare arguments for the interest arbitration items as prescribed in item
7(e) of the appendix.

We will update the membership, as soon as further information becomes available.

As always and especially during these uncertain times of the current pandemic, your Bargaining
Committee appreciates your continued support.

In solidarity,

Negotiations Committee
