CARGO SHOP COMMITTEE
August 7 2024
We would like to bring to the attention of the membership a recent measure taken against members who did not complete mandatory ACCLR training.
Over the course of several month’s the company has communicated that their ACCLR compliance was not up to necessary standards.
Starting form June 2024, communications went out to all staff regarding the mandatory reading of ACCLR.
For the large majority of members, most were able to find time to complete this task while on shift, but for other Members, due to operational constraints, they were not able to complete the task.
Some of these members, unfortunately, had financial and disciplinary measures imposed on them without due process as protected in the CBA.
I am happy to report that through constructive communications with Management, The Union has come to a resolution to remove any and ALL measures imposed against our members.
In light of the above, we would like to emphasise that it is important to maintain compliance with training and ACCLR readings. If at any point during your shift you have reading that is due, please inform your Lead-Hand, Manager or a member of the Resource Team in order to have sufficient time in order to complete these mandatory tasks.
Thank you for your continued commitment to Safety and Compliance.
Best Regards,
Cargo Shop Committee
