-Aveos Separation Packages
Dear Sisters and Brothers:
As Air Canada and the IAMAW were in Court in Montreal last Friday, May 18, for the purposes of the Aveos CCAA process, the arbitration hearing scheduled to take place that day before arbitrator Martin Teplitsky on the separation packages granted by Air Canada to former Aveos employees had to be postponed.
It was necessary for our lawyers to attend this Court hearing as Air Canada’s motion before the Court was to terminate all its service contracts with Aveos.
Legal counsel is in communication with the arbitrator and Air Canada in order to reschedule the arbitration hearing.
