SUPPORT OUR PETITION FOR A LIVING WAGE
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As we all know, the cost of living continues to rise which has put enormous financial pressure on all workers.
We wanted to inform you about a significant initiative we’ve undertaken here at District Lodge 140. We have recently filed a petition with the House of Commons to demand a living wage for all our members working at airports across
the country.
The petition was published on July 2nd, 2024, and we are thrilled to report that it has already garnered over 450 signatures. This is a fantastic start, but our goal is to reach 5,000 signatures, and we need the help and support of all members to achieve this.
Your enthusiastic responses and solidarity have been inspiring. Thank you to everyone who has already signed the petition and shown their support.

Once on the House of Commons webpage, scroll down to read the petition text and at the bottom of the page click on the “sign the petition” button. Once you fill in your information, you will receive an email to verify your identity.

The criteria to sign the petition are being a Canadian Citizen or a resident of Canada. Please share this petition with your colleagues, friends, and family, as every signature assists us in our goal.
