Notice of Information for Executive Board Nomination
At our last union meeting on September 02, 2025 there was a vote by the membership present to have the Executive Board / Auditor nomination at the October 07, 2025 meeting. The vote count was 27 to 7 in favor of this change.
The reason for the request was to allow additional time for members requesting absentee ballots to receive and mail back their ballots. This was an issue 3 years ( 2022 ) ago where many ballots arrived late to the PO BOX after the election.
Dispensation has been requested and granted to have nominations at the October 07, 2025 meeting.
To make sure no member is disadvantaged by the membership’s vote to change the nomination date the minimum meetings requirement will be 4 meetings or as per ARTICLE IV- nominations and elections of our current local by-laws.
