Notice of Nominations and Election IAMAW LL2323 Ottawa Station
Nominations will be accepted at the September 05, 2023 meeting with election on December 05, 2023 for the following position:
One (1) YOW Shop Committee Member
Term of office is January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2026.
ELIGIBILITY
Members in attendance will be able to accept nomination. Nominees not in attendance must submit a written acceptance to the Recording Secretary rs@iamaw2323.ca of the Local Lodge prior to the Membership Meeting. An email carbon copy can be sent to President@iamaw2323.ca
A candidate must have been a member of an affiliated lodge for at least six (6) months prior to nominations. They must have attended 50% of the regular Monthly Membership Meetings held by the Lodge that their Union activities, shift assignments, vacations and verified illnesses would allow during the previous twelve (12) month period ending the date of close of nominations.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS as per Local Lodge Bylaws (Article IV)
Members who reside in outlying districts more than 25 miles/40km (driving distance I from the designated balloting place, members who are wither confined because of verified illness or vacation or on official lAM business, approved by the Local Lodge, District Lodge or Grand Lodge, or on an employer travel assignment, as the case may be, may request an absentee request form.
Any member entitled to receive an absentee ballot shall make a written request not later than 30 days before the election.
Check Google Maps (maps.google.ca) and advise us that you now qualify under the bylaw.

Polling Station: Simply voting QR code link or Local Lodge 2323 Offices – 2580 Drew Road, Mississauga.
