Stan Pickthall Named Canadian Chief of Staff -IAMAW iMail

IAM Canadian General Vice President Dave Ritchie appointed Stan Pickthall as the new Chief of Staff.

An IAM member for almost 31 years, Stan Pickthall previously served as the Directing Business Representative of District Lodge 250 in Vancouver. He became a Business Representative in 1994 and has been the Directing Business Representative since 2005.

“Stan has done a terrific job as a Business Representative and as a DBR with District Lodge 250,” said Ritchie. “He has also made a significant contribution to the IAM Law Committee. He brings a wealth of experience to the job and our members will surely benefit from it.”

Pickthall replaced former Canadian Chief of Staff Tom Lee, who retired June 30, 2013, after a more than 41-year career with the IAM.

“Tom and I entered the labour movement together. Over the years I have counted on his counsel and experience,” said Ritchie. “He always put the members first and he was a great asset to this organization.”
