GHO ARBITRATION VICTORY – UPDATE

Brothers, Sisters and Siblings,

Following our previous update in Bulletin No. 016, we are pleased to share more good news regarding
the GHO reconciliation grievance. As many of you know, the union challenged the company’s method
of calculating vacation reconciliation that incorrectly includes GHO. This error cost some of our
members hundreds of dollars each year. Through Arbitration, we successfully defended your rights
and secured a major victory for all affected members and member who will become entitled to GHO
in the future.

The Arbitrator has directed the company to issue payments to every member who experienced losses
as a result of these incorrect calculations. These payments will be retroactive to the date the grievance
was filed in 2024. As per the arbitrator’s ruling, only members who took GHO after May 17th 2024, will
be entitled to retroactive payments. Rest assured, vacation reconciliation will now be done correctly
moving forward, keeping more hard-earned money in our members’ pockets.

The company has now confirmed to the District that our members should expect these payments to
begin as early as November 5. We understand how important this outcome is for ourselves and our
families, and we are proud to have achieved this result together through solidarity and persistence.
We will continue to monitor the implementation of this decision and provide further updates as needed.

If you have specific questions about your individual situation, please reach out to your General Chairperson.

In solidarity,
Dave Flowers
