The Local Transfer Meeting scheduled for today was cancelled. We were informed by the company that, as per the new Collective Agreement language, an employee who elects to change work formations will no longer carry their vacation selection as has been past practice. Once reassigned the employee would choose from the remaining vacation available.
We disagreed with this interpretation and have sought clarification on the matter from the District Lodge. When we have clarification we will release further communication as to what the results were, and when the next transfer meeting will be conducted.
