Re; Union Representation
Brothers and Sisters
Local management has been enacting a practice of attempting to discourage our membership of exercising their rights to Union representation. One can only speculate as to why a conversation without witnesses is more to their liking.
Article 2, 17 and 19 along with Part I of the Canada Labour Code are very specific on the Union’s right to represent its members. Your Local Lodge Executive, Shop Committee, Shop Stewards and its delegates have the inherent right to represent the members in the workplace.
Do not believe otherwise when so advised by the Company.
There are no innocent chit chats.
