Subcontracting of Tow Crew – YYZ
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
On Thursday, November 3, 2011, Air Canada gave Transportation District 140 a subcontract notice for the Toronto Tow Operations. To be specific, this deals only with towing in the Airports branch.
We are mandated under the current Collective Agreement to go through certain steps before the company can actually do the subcontracting. We are following that language.
The Union has filed a grievance. Arbitrator Teplitsky has been made aware of the situation while discussions are ongoing.
