What is an EFAP?

The EFAP is a program designed to assist employees. It serves as a confidential assistance program that helps employees and their families resolve personal difficulties. The program is utilized by the membership on a strictly voluntary basis, and the employee has a choice of which EFAP coordinator they wish to connect with. The Union and its Representatives encourage and motivate the membership to seek help through this confidential assistance program.

Why do we have an EFAP?

As a progressive Union, we provide an EFAP to our membership because we care about them and because it is good business. The program aims to retain valued employees, restore our membership to wellness, motivate our brothers and sisters to seek help through a confidential program, provide appropriate resources to the employees to resolve their problems, and provide follow-up for troubled employees.
