Negotiations Update Bulletin
Air Canada – Technical Maintenance and Operations Support
November 18, 2011
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Your negotiations committee met with Air Canada for this session of bargaining from November 1 to 8.
Both sub-committees have independently moved so far through two packages, i.e., administrative and non-monetary, as well as some global items.
There were significant challenges in getting these items resolved. Just as they have done in the past, this company continues to demonstrate how combative they can be. It seems they have forgotten the huge losses we suffered to keep this boat rolling in cash!
We have all seen the level of respect shown to our sisters and brothers in the other bargaining units.
When you treat others with respect, just as you would like to be treated, issues get resolved.
Bargaining will resume again on November 28 through to December 10.
We thank you for your support and patience.
In solidarity,
Your IAMAW / TMOS Negotiations Committee
