LTD MEMBERS – TERMINATIONS UPDATE #2
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Transportation District 140 reached a cease and desist agreement with Air
Canada regarding the LTD terminations of certain IAMAW Air Canada Members
currently in receipt of Long Term Disability Benefits.
As such, Air Canada will not be actioning any of the LTD termination letters issued
in August 2016 and no further LTD termination letters will be issued.
In addition, the parties have agreed to arbitrate this matter on December 6, 2016
before Arbitrator Brown.
Transportation District 140 would like to thank the affected Members for their
patience and solidarity during this difficult time.
As more information becomes available it will be communicated to the affected
Members.
