Notice of Nominations and Elections for IAMAW Local Lodge 2323 Executive Board Officers
Please note, nominations will take place for Local Lodge 2323 Executive Board Officers as well as three Auditors on November 1, 2022. Members in attendance will be able to accept nomination. Nominees not in attendance must submit a written acceptance to the Recording Secretary of the Local Lodge prior to the Membership meeting. A candidate must have been a member of an affiliated Lodge for at least six (6) months prior to nominations. The election will be held on December 06, 2022, for the above positions at IAMAW Local Lodge 2323. The term of office for these elected positions will be from January 1, 2023, through to December 31, 2025.The following positions are open to nominations:
President
Vice President
Recording Secretary
Secretary Treasurer
Conductor-Sentinel
Three (3) Trustees
Three (3) Auditors

Absentee Ballots as per Local Lodge Bylaws (Article IV)
Members who reside in outlying districts more than 25 miles/40km (driving distance) from the designated balloting place, members who are either confined because of verified illness (including concerns about voting in person due to concerns about Covid-19) or vacation or on official lAM business, approved by the Local Lodge, District Lodge or Grand Lodge, or on an employer travel assignment, as the case maybe, may request an Absentee Ballot.
Any member entitled to receive an Absentee Ballot may complete in full the 2323 Absentee Request form available from the 2323 website (www.iamaw2323.ca) and also available in the Shop Committee Offices. The member must forward it to the Recording Secretary via Canada Post, email or by handing it in, in person, to the Recording Secretary. Absentee Ballot requests must be sent in individual envelopes.
Please complete the form in full including a valid union card number and your signature. If you do not have your union card number, you can get it by calling the Local Lodge office at 905-678-0010. At the polling station on December 06, 2022, a valid union card or a government issued picture identification must be presented or a ballot will not be issued.
Absentee ballot requests must be received not later than 30 days before the election.
