Notice to all IAMAW Local Lodge 2323 Members
Proposed By-Law Amendments for Local Lodge 2323
and District Lodge 140
The proposed Local Lodge 2323 and District Lodge 140 by-law amendments (attached below)
were read out at the December 14, 2021, General Monthly Membership Meeting. These
proposed by-law amendments will also be posted on the Union bulletin boards throughout the
workplace. The date for second reading and voting will be determined when in-person General
Monthly Membership Meetings resume.
As per Local Lodge 2323 By-Laws, Section 3, any proposed by-law amendment must have been
submitted by December 13, 2021, in writing to the Local Lodge 2323 Recording Secretary and
signed by no less than five members in good standing. The By-Law Committee will review all
proposed amendments and recommend either “concurrence” or “non-concurrence” with the
proposed by-law amendment at the time of second reading.
A majority affirmative vote from those present at the meeting is needed to then seek approval
from Grand Lodge for the changes to be adopted.
