TO ALL IAMAW MEMBERS
AIR CANADA TMOS
VACATION RECONCILIATION

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As most of you are aware, the Company has commenced vacation reconciliation for
2020 and issued overpayment notices on April 28th. Based on information received,
there is much confusion regarding vacation accrual/entitlement during the CEWS
periods in 2020.

District Lodge 140 filed a pre-emptive national policy grievance last year. Your Union
had scheduled the presentation of this grievance on May 12th, 2021, but Air Canada
adjourned the case as per the Collective Agreement. The Company cannot adjourn
again and if necessary, the grievance will move to the agenda for national matters in
August.

Your Shop Committees and General Chairpersons are very aware of the frustrations
these recollections are causing and a cease and desist was requested while details
and positions are being discussed. Unfortunately, the employer ignored those requests
and forged ahead with reconciliation.

If you have received a letter of recollection from the Company that you believe to be
incorrect, please follow the steps to contest the recovery of over-payment, as per the
Addendum to LOU 12. Be sure to follow the process exactly as set out in the
Addendum and the over-payment notices.

If you are unsure or require any guidance or clarification, please contact your local
Shop Committee or General Chairperson.

In solidarity,

Steve Prinz
