Rovinescu added that he doesn’t see the 12-per-cent wage hike agreed to in the provisional deal with pilots to become the template for the other three main union units.
On that point, Atkinson agreed with him – sort of.
“We want more,” said Atkinson, adding that his members have made huge concessions over a decade to keep the airline aloft.
“But that will be up to the bargaining committee. Let’s just say we’re looking for significant improvements in our pay package.”
