 **SUMMER 2025 BID UPDATE**

The Cabins Bid Team has completed the cycling of the summer 2025 schedule.

The Team did outstanding work in balancing the needs and wants of our membership.

Specifically, the team’s mandate consisted of:

  • Shift alignment to allow for more doubles
  • Shift distribution as mandated in the 6×3 vs 4×2 survey
  • Advocating for increased compression lines, presently at 32%
  • Scheduling and Shift Adjustments

With the proactive collaboration of the Team and Management, we were able to solidify great results for the membership that will prove to be a significant improvement from the previous summer bid.  Over the coming weeks, when the live bid is implemented, the bid committee will be able to assist with any questions or technical issues that may arise.

Although we did make some significant improvements, there are some operational changes that will be implemented this bid that will affect our CSCA overnight crews / Security Attendants / Radio Room / Part Time.  I would like to remind our membership that these changes are strictly at the discretion of management and although we do not agree, do not make up the Bid Committees mandate. To be clear, these rearrangements will not result in any reduction in staff, but rather a redeployment of resources.
